GWAudit Config Print

GWaudit uses the "Trusted App" functionallity of Groupwise. This allows the program to login into any mailbox in the system, without knowing the users password and is also indepent of the proxy settings.

The program uses two groups in the eDirectory for extra security, the place and name of the groups is free. There must be one group for "system users" and one for "auditors". Please create these groups before you start the program the first time.

The first time the program starts, it shows the configuration page:

At the top give the configuration password (min 5 characters). For futher configuration changes, you need this password. All the information in the config.dat file is encrypted, so please remember this password.

Leave the two GWbrowse options unchecked, this is still under development, where GwBrowse will be included in GWAudit.

Fillin the path to the primay domain (you can use the button on the right for browsing to the path).

The program uses the "Trusted App" functionallity, for that a trustedapp record in the Groupwise database must be created. After you set the groupwise domain directory you can create the record, and the returned key is stored in the config.dat file (encrypted).

If you want to deinstall GWAudit, please delete the trusted app record too. This can be done here or in Console One (Tools->Groupwise System Options->Trusted Application. Delete the gwaudit record there, leave any other record in place.

The program needs two eDirectory groups for the "Auditors" and "System users". This is for extra security. Use the buttons on the right for a eDirectory browser.

Save the information.

The program will now ask for the eDirectory Password of the current user.
