DNS-LOOKUP

On this page you can test your DNS-Server, or test/lookup any dns-record on
a Name-server. This page in only available in the DNSEdit version.
You have to fill in the fields Resolve and NameServer (IP-Address!). The
program will remember the last 10 resolve requests and the nameserver. This
information is stored in the INI-file.
Select the query you want to do, and click <GO>. The program will try to
dnsBrowset to the give name-server and will do a (UDP) DNS-request. If the
request is succesfull, the program shows the information on the right.
You can also do a reverse lookup, type the IP-address in the resolve field. The
address must be given in the normal order and decimal (not hexadecimal!).
If you want to do a rev-zone-resolve type in the zone name. e.g.
130.IN-ADDR.ARPA.
