Homes creates wrong directory name - 2006/04/13 17:46
Hello, we are moving users from many system to one and we have been using Homes with great success to assign rights once the data has been moved. Our home directories are always the same as the userID: first initial, middle initial and the first 6 chars of the last name (kmwillia)
We made a move of about 400 users last night and a funny thing happened. Homes created some of the user folders with the users first name instead of username. After looking in consoleone we noticed the users that had this happen had the "other name" field under general populated with thier first name. is there any way I can force Homes to ignore this "other name" field and just use the userID?
