Re:License Install - 2005/11/04 22:43
Hello, thank you.
The process of collecting the filerights is a (very) time consuming process if there are more than 2 or 3 servers.
If the number of servers is >3 I think it is better to use the Trustee.nlm (I do have a java program that can do this too, I have to change the program so it can read the output file of the java-program).
For now the stucture for the selection file.
[system] nlm=1
[files] servervolumepathfile1=1
if the number of fileservers is less than 3 then you can use the program for collecting the file-rights. The selection file stucture should be as follows: [system] nlm=0
[volumes] dn of volume1=1 dn of volume2=1 (e.g. cache.services.hbw=1)
Sometime the program doesn't see the selection-file if the path isn't set. Please select the selection file with the button on the right and the program can find the selection-file.
Do you want to test the java program? You do need JAVA and some Novell libraries on all the servers where you want to collect file-rights. I do have to write the documentation and the interface in NdsBackup, this will take a week or two.
