Setting Universal Password - 2009/03/04 20:21 I am trying to give my users passwords. Because I am using CIFS I am using Universal Passwords. I imported my users from an NT Directory using the Import feature in OES 2 SP1. I'm running OES 2 SP1 on SLES 10 SP2.

On the MassUser tab "Tree Settings" at the bottom where there is a checkbox for Universal/simple password support, there is a field for SSL Certificate.

How do I generate this certificate with Novell iManage? Where will it be located once I generate it? I assume it needs to be copied to the local hard drive, is that correct?

I found a utility on the CoolSolutions site that exports certificates, so now I can run a trial run. When I do the system immediately pops a dialog box that says;
MassUser.exe Unable to Locate Component

This application has failed to start because NMASEXT.DLL was not found.

It suggests reinstalling.

A google search brings up that it is a Novell DLL, a search of my HD shows no sign of it.

The log shows
TEST RUN
Connect to LDAP
Error, can't connect to sp3.dll
Users lookup...
Check Objects

AllardB.sacs.fcsu
Set Password
Will change Password Policy!
Can't test password!

Mysterious!

I can send you the dll if you want.
I think it is (was?) normally on the server in the public directory ( proabably under the ConsoleOne directory).

I will study the license conditions for this library, and if possible I will upload the file in an extra package for download on the site.

Please send me an eMail if you want the dll.
