Re:user has no home-directory attribute - 2006/09/09 00:45
You have probably selected the option: "Use HomeAttr in NDS ......."
The program will read the attribute "home directory" of the user object. If this attribute isn't available then the program will show the warning. You can check with Console One. Select one of the user object that have the warning. Select the General Tab, Environment. Look at the homeDirectory value.
If there is a homedirectory in Console One, then there is something serious wrong with the program or with the synchronization in the tree. If this is the case please let me know as soon as possible.
If console one doesn't show a homedirectory then the user doesn't have a homedir in the eDirectory.
There are two solutions for this program for setting the quota's.
1. First fill the homedirectory attribute with the correct value. This can be done with the action: Repair Homedirectory, and the option "User Volume/Path selection from below" (select the volume and the path). (or any other option you want) (don't select "do not set the HomeDirectory atribute in NDS"). After that, you can use the option Use HomeDirectory attribute in NDS... to do operations like setting the quota.
2. action Repair option "User Volume/Path selection from below" without setting the HomeDirectory attribute. (check the option "do not set the HomeDirectory atribute in NDS"). Set all other options you want like the quota.
