 Rename and Groupwise Accounts - 2006/08/03 23:48 It looks like MassUser will work great for our user rename project. The only problem that I'm running into is that it doesn't appear to rename the cooresponding Groupwise object. I'm wondering if MassUser has the ability to do this or not.

I do see something about "Edit email alias through API Gateway (Unsupported by Novell)", but I'm not sure how to make this work or if it's even what I want.

Any help is appreciated.

At the moment there is no "rename" for a groupwise user available, I can add that to the program if you wish. Need a few days.

At the moment it is impossible to rename a internet address. The programming API doesn't support this.

 Re:Rename and Groupwise Accounts - 2006/08/04 15:54 Thanks for the quick reply. Really the only additional feature I guess I'd like it to have the ability to also rename a user's cooresponding Groupwise account when doing an eDir user rename.

As far as changing the "E-mail Address" attribute on a user, this can be done with the "Update" function and using attributes from a cfl/csv file I would think.

I have build a routine that can rename the GW-user and the eDir user, but the connection between the two is lost. You have to graft all users by hand, don't think this is the solution.

I do have some idea's on how to solve this, I think I know more on Wednesday. Hans Boone
