Server synchronization app wanted - 2006/02/23 12:12 Hello Hans,

I've been looking for a tool that lets me compare files, folders and user rights on two or more servers. I want the folder structure to be synchronized between the servers, including user/workstation/group rights.

So far I have only found programs that can synchronize files and folders (TreeComp, for example), but not the rights.

If you think this is something you could do, we would gladly buy it (at a reasonable price, of course ).

You want to sync the "filerights"

You want to synchronize the files and directories also, or do you want to use an existing application (a very good tool is RoboCopy).

What about the "directory" attributes?

Have you ever thought about RSync?

If you still need/want a new tool please let me know.

Yes, I was looking for an all-in-one tool to do both the filerights sync and the files/folder sync between servers. I'll post back if RSync doesn't work for us.
