control file automation? - 2008/08/27 17:56 Hello,

I have just purchased massuser and wanted to offer a suggestion / enhancement idea.

Do you remember usrimp32.exe from back in windows 98 days? It let us use csv files to do user imports without a control file. Basically, it let us map the fields in the csv file with attributes predefigned in the program. So if I had a file like this:

john,doe,jdoe,xpassword

we could select the mappings like this

john = givenname
doe = surname
jdoe = cn
xpassword = password

I think something like this would be an awesome addition for dummies like me.

Anyways, it's just an idea..

Re:control file automation? - 2008/08/28 00:28 Hello,

Thank you for the idea.
Have been thinking about it today and I will give it a try to add this to the cfl-wizard or maybe even an extra option in MassUser.

If you have any questions about CFL please do not hestitate to post here or send me an email.

Warning: password set through CFL/CSV.
In the documentation there is a nasty bug, in the cfl-file you need to use the options "password" and "GW-password". The documentation it talking about pw en gw-pw. These will not work now! In the next version this is fixed.
