FAQ - 2003/03/07 09:36 Program seems to work, but does not change anything
The program has a test mode (preview) so you can see what the program will do. Uncheck preview (next to the OK-button) and the program will make the changes

Program starts with: can't find nlsapi32.dll
The program needs this Novell dll. Normally you can find the dll on the sys:public directory. If you don't have or want a search to this directory, then you can copy the dll to the directory where homes.exe is installed. (c:program fileshbwarehomes) or you can copy to windowsystem directory for your windows version (or anywhere in the windows search path). There is a problem with nlsapi32.dll if you have (an) eDirecotry installed on the local machine, copy the correct dll in the Homes-directory.

You can download a nlsapi32.dll here: www.hbware.com/sample/nlsapi32.dll.

How to use LDIF-file with Homedirecotory attribute and Homes - 2003/04/01 16:17 How to use LDIF-file with Homedirecotory attribute and Homes

1. put in the correct Homedirectory in the LDIF file.
2. import the file (this will set the homedirectory attribute, but doesn't create the homedirectory).
3. Run Homes, using the same LDIF-file and use the option: "Use HomeAttr in NDS for creation Homedir". This option will use the home-directory attribute just set by the LDIF-file.
