Problem/bug? - 2005/04/18 12:17
Hi. I set the NDS Home Directory attribute with Homes 3.03. I've noticed a problem now.
We have a program that reads the Home Directory attribute directly from NDS and displays it as read. All of the home directories set with Homes 3.03 show something like "TREEOVOLUMEPATH, 4". The odd piece here is the ", 4" after the home directory.
I then went into ConsoleOne and reset one home directory, to see what happened. I then checked it in the program and it came up "TREEOVOLUMEPATH". Notice that the ", 4" is not there for the one set through C1, which is what I would expect it to look like.
I am not sure what Homes is doing, but it seems to be causing the ", 4" to be put at the end of the NDS attribute. When you view the attribute in C1, it looks right, but it isn't exactly right when viewed as a raw value. Once reset in C1, the attribute is "normal".
Thanks.
